A start up company in Mexico, VIA Motors, is rolling out Electric Trucks. You read that right, Electric trucks. VIA will be outfitting GM trucks and vans with it's own extended-range electric powertrain.

These engines don't use a transmission either. They have a 402-hp electric motor connected to a gear set instead. VIA claims this is the most powerful electric motor on the market and since opening it's new plant, says they can put out 10,000 vehicles per year.

What do you think of an electric truck? Would you buy one?
